The data collected and processed includes, depending on the nature of the request, all information related to our business relationship. This may include your first and last names, mailing address, email address, company name, job title, and phone number.

We use this data to compile a list of individuals who are interested in our services and who share the same values as the Compagnie du Mont-Blanc Group.
We do not collect so-called “sensitive” data such as racial or ethnic origin, political, philosophical, or religious opinions, trade union membership, data related to health, sex life, or criminal offenses, convictions, and security measures.

When sending our electronic communications (newsletters, marketing information, or communications regarding our services), we use campaign management solutions to ensure that our messages are sent and to improve their deliverability.

This management is essential to our business, as it allows us to have your information so we can contact you and provide our services, particularly to respond to your requests or to send you regular updates and information about our products, promotions, and/or activities that may be of interest to you.
We also use your data to improve your digital experience on our websites and in our communications: understand your interest in our content, manage your online account, validate your participation in our promotions, process your payments, ensure that our websites and communications are presented in the manner best suited to you and your device, and protect you against potential fraudulent activity.
We collect, store, and process your data throughout the entire purchasing process—including for any subsequent warranties—as well as for our services, technical administration, our company’s own marketing purposes, and to combat violations and fraud. Your personal data will only be disclosed to third parties if permitted by law, including for the purposes of contract fulfillment, billing, marketing, or if you have previously consented to such disclosure. In connection with order fulfillment, the service providers we engage (such as the shipping carrier or the bank for payment processing) receive from us, for example, only the data necessary to fulfill the order and the contract. On our e-commerce sites, we process your payment information using methods that comply with industry standards (such as PCI DSS).
All such personal information is confidential and is accessible only to our departments, business partners, and service providers, and only to the extent necessary to perform the tasks entrusted to them. Your personal data is not intended to be transferred or sold.

As part of our management of electronic communications, we may use service providers specializing in the delivery and management of marketing campaigns, including Salesforce Marketing Cloud. These service providers act as data processors and process data solely in accordance with our instructions and applicable regulations.
Please note that we strictly require our service providers to use your personal data solely to manage the services we ask them to provide. We also require these service providers to always act in compliance with applicable data protection laws and to pay particular attention to the confidentiality of this data.
The Compagnie du Mont-Blanc Group is located in France and assures you that your personal information is stored in France and will not be transferred outside the European Union.

For prospects and visitors, data is retained for 3 years from the date of the last contact or collection.
For customers, data is retained for 5 years from the end of the business relationship and then archived for 5 years.
These retention periods do not exceed the time necessary for the purposes for which the data is retained, in accordance with applicable regulations and the Compagnie du Mont-Blanc Group’s legal obligations.

The personal information you provide to us is used to:

In accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 on the protection of personal data, you have the right to access your data, the right to rectification, the right to erasure (right to be forgotten), the right to object, the right to restrict processing, and the right to data portability. You may also provide instructions regarding the retention, erasure, and disclosure of your personal data after your death. You may, for reasons related to your particular situation, object to the processing of your personal data. In the event of a violation, if you believe, after contacting us, that your data protection rights have not been respected, you may file a complaint online or by mail with the CNIL (instructions are available on the CNIL website).

Your data cannot be collected without your clear and informed consent. Specifically, you will be notified before any collection of your data, and you have the right to object to such collection.

This policy contains all information regarding the purposes of the processing that may be carried out, the categories of personal data processed, and the recipients or categories of recipients to whom the data is disclosed.

The right to object, as its name suggests, allows you to object to the processing of your data. Specifically, you have the option to delete your account. This policy takes effect on May 1, 2018.
