Chamonix is a great place for skiing. You can find long and steep slopes in various areas, fairly well groomed, but also plenty of off-piste skiing. Outdated lifts, no heating, few gondolas. Megeve and St. Gervais area were not included in Unlimited pass, we had to switch ski passes, and a disabled member of our group had to pay a full price extra for this area. The other benefits they advertise is a scam, though. You can't get the Montblanc Tunnel Pass discount on the way there because they require you to collect a physical card IN CHAMONIX. And you can't get the discount on the way back if you go the day after your ski pass is expired. In the email they write: Offer valid from 12/12/2025 to 06/04/2026 which is deception. Montblanc free lift pass couldn't be used due to enormous queues.

Make sure you get insurance with your ski pass. It saved me about €1000.. and the service was very good. You have to look hard but you can also get help with 'repatriation' (I was on my own on public transport) back home if you need it. Despite what happened to me I recommend this beautiful resort; I will be back.
