Our Environmental Strategy

Our Approach

Our strategy is based on:

  • Clearly defined and shared goals that provide a common direction

  • Action plans developed with our partners based on assessments, enabling us to prioritize the actions to be implemented

  • The commitment of our employees, who are aware of these measures and actively involved in implementing them on a daily basis

  • Monitoring tools that enable us to measure the effectiveness of our actions, assess the progress we’ve made, and ensure our practices are aligned with a culture of continuous improvement.

Our Certifications

To ensure the soundness of our approach, we rely on recognized standards and regular audits.

  • ISO 14001 Environmental Certification since 2009

  • Green Snowflake Label since 2013

  • ISO 50001 Certification – Energy since 2017

  • Recipient of the “Companies Committed to Nature” recognition since 2022

  • Recognized as a mission-driven company since 2024

Our status as a mission-driven company, our four ISO certifications (Environment, Energy, Quality, Safety), the Flocon Vert label, and our participation in the “Companies Committed to Nature” program enable us to evaluate the actions we’ve implemented and report on them with complete transparency.

Our Priorities for Action

Our strategy is centered on six priorities:

  1. Preserving Biodiversity and Landscapes

  2. Reducing our greenhouse gas emissions

  3. Anticipating and Adapting to Changing Natural Hazards

  4. Sustainable Water Resource Management

  5. Reducing our waste and developing circular economy projects

  6. Incorporating environmental considerations into our purchasing and investments

Observe to Decide

Scientific observation is one of the cornerstones of our strategy.

Thanks to dedicated monitoring networks, we have up-to-date data on biodiversity, landscapes, water resources, waste from obsolete facilities, and natural hazards.

This knowledge informs our decisions and ensures that our action plans are based on an objective and shared understanding of the issues.

Regional Dialogue

Our strategy is also based on open and ongoing dialogue with local stakeholders: local governments, organizations, scientific experts, government agencies, etc.

These discussions fuel our thinking, provide a vital outside perspective, and help us refine our projects. Together, we develop coherent solutions tailored to the valley’s challenges.
