Arrived at the top of the Aiguille du Midi, walk towards terraces which offer a breath-taking panorama ! The Mont-Blanc 1000 meters above you, the Grandes Jorasses, the Matterhorn in Switzerland, but also Pointe Helbronner on the Italian border. Thanks to the Tube, you can even go completely around the peak of the Aiguille du Midi and not miss anything, while remaining sheltered!

How can we book a place for Aiguille du Midi cable car ?

To ensure your visit to Aiguille du Midi, it is highly recommended to purchase your ticket in advance. Tickets can be purchased online through our website. This includes both the entrance ticket and the reservation for your place in the cable car. If you already have a valid transport pass, you can simply make a reservation for the cable car.

Depending on your needs, different offers are available. You can either buy a round trip ticket Chamonix > Aiguille du Midi.

If you wish to visit, hike, and enjoy other benefits, choose the MONT BLANC MultiPass. The Multi-Site day or stay pass to discover our playground.

The booking is compulsory obligatoire, you need to choose a date and departure time.

Why can't I book the first morning skips online?

The first 5 slots cannot be booked online and are reserved for mountaineers. So you'll need to be there on the day. Otherwise select another time slot.

What are the restrictions for visiting the Aiguille du Midi ?

The visit is forbidden for children under 3-years-old,nd not recommended for children under 5-years-old.

There is no counter-indication for pregnant women, however if you have a doubt contact your doctor or obstetrician.

Animals are not allowed (except for assistance animals for disabled people -upon showing a disability proof)

This excursion is not recommended in case of big cold or heart problems.

People with reduced mobility : 2 wheelchairs maximum per cable car. Access to the Lift for the Step into the Void®. Restaurant area at the summit isn’t accessible (special rates, contact us for information).

How long does it take to visit / practical information?

Average visit duration is 2 to 3 hours (including the trip). Be aware during peak periods, the visit duration can be doubled depending on the attendance.

Access through two distinct cable cars (65 places per car), trip duration from 20 to 40 minutes depending on the attendance.

If you’re planning on stopping at the mid-station, we advise you to do so during your return trip.

Don’t forget to take warm cloths, sunglasses, and sunblock (whatever the season).

I'm a guide and I don't have a ticket?

Guides benefit from a professional rate on presentation of their EAPS / UAIGM / IFMG card. However, guides cannot buy their tickets online on our website.

If you are a guide, please present yourself at the Aiguille du Midi ticket office on the day of your visit. At the cash desk, the staff will sell you the ticket at the professional rate and assign you the same skip as your customers, even if it's already full.

Encourage your customers to buy in advance on our website. Make sure you have your customers' tickets to show at the checkout.

As a guide, how can I book in advance?

You can show up at the Aiguille du Midi ticket office 48 hours in advance and make a reservation (max 6 customers + 1 guide).
