An annual review of our prices is planned, following our Public Service Delegation (PSD) contract and based on a formula for tariff indexing that takes into account two main factors:
This includes investments for the modernization of our ski areas, the ongoing project for the reconstruction of Grands Montets. These investments aim to enhance the quality of service provided at our ski areas in Chamonix.
> This modernization coefficient represents an estimated 7.13% increase for the upcoming season.
Energy costs have risen significantly in recent years, as have personnel costs and the upkeep and maintenance of our ski-lift installations and related buildings.
These elements account for more than two-thirds of the percentage change in this index in our pricing calculation.
> When combined, these coefficients result in a price increase of 11.78%, as predetermined in our contract, for the upcoming winter season.
The Compagnie du Mont Blanc is fully aware of the challenges related to purchasing power and is committed to staying competitive in the ski market and pricing within the industry. Therefore, as in previous years, we will not apply the full percentage increase resulting from this price indexing formula.
We have planned for an increase of only 5.66% for the CHAMONIX Le Pass and 8.02% for the MONT BLANC Unlimited pass.
We understand that you may have questions about these price increases, and we wanted to explain the mechanism behind our pricing and assure you that they are subject to approval by our delegating authority, the municipality of Chamonix Mont Blanc.
Everything possible has been done to minimize this tariff increase while maintaining the quality of our products and services.
